Grace UMC Vision In Process

Our servant leader vision team has spent 80 hours together in a visioning process to develop a ministry action plan for our church for the next five years. The above chart is a sample of our work.

The acronym "NETS" at the top of the chart comes from our vision statement: "We want to be a community of disciples spreading the net of Jesus Christ to keep people from slipping through the cracks of life." The chart lays out some measurements to evaluate how well we are doing from reaching new people, assimilating them into the church, growing them in discipleship, and releasing them in service and mission.

Our next step is to evaluate our current ministries and activities in the context of the flow chart and see where we may need to add ministries or re-shape ministries to maximize the flow from reaching new people to releasing them in service and mission for the transformation of the world.
