Pedaling Parsons July 15-16, 09

Thursday was beautiful! We started out with a great breakfast by Pastor Jan and the folks at Centerville UMC, and birthday cake for Tommy Lundin who turned eleven. He has been riding with the Pedaling Parsons since he was seven.

Armando and Armando Jr (A1 and A2) were another father and son team on the tour this year.

We were so glad Barb Stephens came along on the tour in memory of Frank. She rode on the tandem with John Lundin because she and Frank had always planned on riding with the group at some point.

Pat Donaldson couldn't let Barb have all the fun. She got a ride on the tandem too.
Thursday was 72 miles with sunshine and tailwind nearly the whole way.

Pedaling Parsons Wednesday, July 15, 2009

After sleeping in the Freeport Community Center, we got on our bikes and headed for Centerville. This was an 82 mile day.

Our support team: Bill, Barb, Pat and Jeff are doing a great job keeping us well fed and keeping us on the rout.

Today it rained for the first 20 miles, but by lunch time the sun came out and it was nice.

Don gets an Internet connection Monday after dinner to publish the blog.
After breakfast, devotions and a photo opp, we saddled up and headed out from Luther, Mi to Heritage UMC in Pierson MI.

Bob puts Tuesday's rout into cue sheet form to make it easier for riders to follow. Someone will still get lost. Probably Don.

The youth at Heritage UMC serve us up some good food.

Armando Jr. gets a little nap before diner.

Pedaling Parsons July 12-13, 2009

Twenty Four riders and support left form North Canton Grace lot Sunday, July 12 and headed to Luther, Mi for a 335 Mile ride to Monroeville, In to rise money for United Methodist Community Centers in Ohio. We arrived at 11:00 PM.
We had a good day on Monday. We rode 72 miles with only one flat (Larry Hinkle). The weather is beautiful.
Tonight we are staying at Heritage UMC in Howard, Mi.
The pictures are taking forever to upload so I will try again tomorrow night.
